After war world II the Cirò Marina economy was based around olive oil production, wine, cereals, and citrus fruits.

Even today Cirò Marina maintains these traditions, but has also developed a vibrant tourist economy. Cirò Marina has received the ultimate accolade for its beaches with the blue flag award. Not only are the tourist attracted to is magnificent 16 km of coastline, but also to its stunning architecture, Torre Nuova sul Lipuda, Casa Taverna, il palazzo Porti, sede del Museo archeologico, casa Sculco, casa Saverona are just a few examples.

Words cannot describe the food, wine and all the goods coming from the region. The festival “Sagra della Sardella e del Pesce Azzurro” celebrates the typical elements of the traditional Cirò Marina cuisine.
