Foreign buyers look at Montenegro

The success of Bulgaria as an investment hotspot has led to property buyers increasingly looking at neighbouring countries.

BuyAssociation stated that a growing number of people are considering investment opportunities in places such as Montenegro, as they believe it is set to enjoy a property boom similar to that seen in Bulgaria.

However, spokesperson Paul Collins said Montenegro is also proving to be a popular destination in its own right, as it offers a number of lifestyle attractions.

"It's an absolutely beautiful country," he commented.

"There are real opportunities for people buying properties there."

Mr Collins added that the Montenegrin government is keen to encourage foreign buyers to invest in the market.

Therefore, it is making sure that the process of buying property is "as easy as possible".

The market was recently opened up to British buyers by Montenegro Airlines, which is now offering direct flights to the country from Gatwick Airport.
